West Coast Music is a popular Adult Oriented Rock (AOR) subgenera. AOR or Adult Contemporary (AC) is a popular genre of music that is based on vocals and heavy ballads. This music genre is based on rock influence though it has subgenera of soft, heavy, urban and religious AOR. The 1970s/1980s was period for release of many popular AOR / AC songs, many which continue to be played and listened to. What used to be “adult oriented” rock, is now expanding to fulfill all types of listener’s musical ears. Contemporary Jazz is another popular AOR subgenera that MusicTaste features.
